TIDEWATER TRAIL

Fort Wayne, Indiana

Every so often a project arrives with a personality all its own. This one felt like a whisper of New Orleans in northern Indiana. With an upper porch and lower front patio, the setting creates an unexpected, charming arrival sequence for a suburban home. The client wanted a sitting patio with a fountain, abundant colorful flowers, and a design that complements the home’s architecture. We used Pennsylvania bluestone with brick banding to match the house’s “old city” charm and a short boxwood hedge to define the space. The result is a functional, inviting entrance and outdoor room with surprising character and eye‑catching appeal.
